What is the best anti-anxiety drug to be on?

Question by Fudgesicle: What is the finest anti-anxiety drug to be on?
I have horrible anxiety and I am going to go on some medication. I took some just before and had actually negative expertise with some, so I although I would see what medicine people liked finest.

acupuncture and a notebook or sth like it. I’ve tried each. For the notebook or whatever, just scribble out what you’re anxious about, rip the page out and burn it. Or you could make a list of what there is to be anxious about and what not to be anxious about. In my opinion, you really should go for acupuncture.

I’ve tried acupunture and it’s terrible. Not sure what to sugest though mate. I was given a prescription for an anti depressant called Amitrytoline once and it really brought my mood down and made me really really depressed.
But that’s anti-depressants, I don’t know whether they would use them for anxiety. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
